I often create paintings with characters and give them a stereotype image based on my many observations. I like to put them as a threesome which adds interest to the painting and a rhythmic quality to the figures. I also wanted to capture the ambiance of a warmly lit Italian restaurant and the anticipation of the food. Buon appetito.
