Original handmade painting, oil on canvas.
cm 40 x 50 (15.7 x 19.7 inches).
This painting is my first one related to a "classic" theme of Christian religion. The title is the John's Gospel "When Jesus had received the sour wine, he said, “It is finished,” and he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.
It is a very common theme in artistic tradition, (and in particular to the Italian) and I have tried to give an interpretation with a "classic" composition of the picture, but making the contours of the face and the signs of the body blurred.
