Artist's description:

It's good to get outside with the oil paints in a quiet wood and paint directly in front of the subject. This was painted in one session, on one day, using the palette knife for a free and fresh interpretation of the scene. In March before the leaves are back on the trees the autumnal russet colours still dominate providing an interesting counterpoint to the glimpses of misty blue sky through the trees. In oil on board, ready to be framed.

This painting will be carefully wrapped for maximum protection and speedily despatched.
