Original artwork description:

Sea birds are still my favourites. These guys are having a great time on the beach. The birds are made of a sturdy white linen and stitched on white black thread for contrast. I have used ink to decorate the birds a little and their legs and beaks are stitched on using an orange thread. The sea is created using different types of blue fabrics. Each "wave" has been individually stitched and the details in the fabrics have been highlighted a little with black ink. I have used gouache for the little white dots in the waves and also to create a background colour of water. The beach is lots of different bots of fabric, yarn and hessian to give an impression of sand, pebbles and little goodies for the birds. Each little bit has been glued on individually.
The collage has been made on a French vintage linen sheet so has a really nice warm linen colour to it.
The title of the collage has been embroidered on the front as has my signature. The collage is backed with a white cotton. I am selling this collage un-framed but have photographed it in a frame so you can see how lovely it looks framed.
