ONCE UPON A TIME This was part of series of work produced for a group exhibition supporting the starlight foundation - Once upon a time, reinterpreting the fairytale. For my pieces I chose to focus on fairytale landscapes which seemed like a good continuation of my New Zealand landscape work, whats more fairytale like than NZ right? I also created some forest / fairytale creatures, the stag, swallow, owl and peacock. Each artwork contains between 20-50 layers of various textured and images such as photographs, torn security envelope lining, scans of hand drawn patterns, lace and rust textures and computer illustrated graphics.
