Artist's description:

While designing an installation and performance for Canary Wharf, the 1990s office development in the former East India docks of London, I made a series of drawings. Built in the main to house financial institutions, the structures invoked a powerful feeling of enclosure and led me to pursue this series of studies and paintings which use the body as a subject; our animal nature; the unseen.
