Artist's description:

The word Lemur comes from the Latin "lemures" which translates as spectre or ghost. I wanted to portray a Ring Tailed Lemur resting, but it seems that whenever you stop to look they look right back at you (not to mention they have amazing eyes) so I decided to paint one keeping an eye on me.

This particular painting was inspired after visiting these and their rough cousins at the Wales Ape and Monkey Sanctuary.
