Artist's description:

This painting was inspired by a line in a lyric by Bob Dylan in his 1965 song ‘Farewell Angelina’.

In the song, the line "the sky is on fire”, immediately precedes the line “and I must go” and here is a sky which truly appears to be consumed by flames, with the intensely blue ocean empty, desolate and on the surface at least, serene.
