This is my response through my painting to the global financial crisis and its moral concomitants. What I have in mind here and what I'm trying to capture is that "the crisis" is not simply an issue of financial failure, it is also a matter of moral failure. The images suggest the emotional and visceral dimensions of temptation that underpin the collapse of banking around the world. We are not in safe hands! Over and against that in the painting I'm trying to suggest that money and power are concentrated in a few places and a few hands while the majority of us grapple with the consequences of austerity.
