Artist's description:

Blowing a gale from the West the Max Wallis storms passed the Gurnard Navigation buoy off Cowes in heavy rain. She hits a large roller and plunges into the trough with spray enveloping the whole craft. This is exactly the conditions these tough RIBs are intended for and the three crew are fully rigged for the conditions with wet weather gear, lifejackets and intercom system. Photo taken by John Green Cowes.
