Artist's description:

The picture shows the remains of the Helvetia at Rhossili Beach looking out towards the Worm's Head. The Helvetia was wrecked during a storm in 1887 and its remains are gradually being eroded by the Atlantic Ocean. I made this photograph in heavy rain and felt that the subject lent itself very well to black and white.

The picture is printed using the Giclée process on fine art paper. Giclée Fine Art Prints are extremely high quality, archival grade, digital prints that use an ultra fine inkjet printing process to produce images of intense colour and vibrancy. Giclée printing is widely regarded as one of the very best photographic and fine art printing methods currently available.

This sophisticated digital reproduction technology utilizes light-fast and UV-resistant pigment based inks with more colours than regular printing to produce beautiful digital reproductions that last much longer than those produced using traditional commercial fine art printing techniques. The Giclée inks are lightfast to a extremely high standard and are designed to be printed onto specially developed archival quality papers. The results are superb quality prints with unparalleled vibrancy and detail that should literally last well over a lifetime.

The edition is limited to 7 prints. Each print is signed and numbered on the front and is sold with a Numbered Certificate of Authenticity.

Other print and edition sizes are available for this image. I can also arrange framing in a high quality black gallery frame with an archival quality off-white mount, if required. Please contact me at info@adriaanvanheerden.com for details and to discuss your requirements.
