Artist's description:

I have created this sculpture, which went unexpectedly as an idea, embedded in multiple thoughts that fought in my mind about the existence, the awareness and the dream of human freedom at the threshold of European change in the '80s and '90s. Realization came as a result of the efforts of ordinary people in their pyramid full of suffering, endless torments and disappointments. The mother of freedom extends her hand to abstract freedom, with the frustration that the sufferings bear us with regard to the past. Self-awareness drives us up. There are 10 figures that express this relationship.
Winner of the Tirana Democracy Competition in 1995.
