Painted from an on the spot watercolour, the ponds of Pitt Tip are amongst the local walks and public footpaths that I often walk to get sketches and impressions. This was caught on a rainy morning when a burst of sun light came through the gloom to produce some interesting effects.
The finished painting was completed on a Canvas measuring 39x39 inch .
