**This is one of my three owl prints that have been selected to be published in the forthcoming book by Mascot Media Ltd.**
This is a limited edition collagraph print of an owl and a snail in sepia. The inspiration for this design came from one of my favourite poems by the Welsh poet, Dylan Thomas, and is a literal interpretation of what he writes in his 'Poem in October'....
'Pale rain over the dwindling harbour
And over the sea wet church the size of a snail
With its horns through mist and the castle
Brown as owls'
In a collagraph, which is an intaglio technique, the design is carved and sealed on a plate, and then inked in different ways allowing for texture and variation across the plate. The plate is wiped and inked each time a print is made in the limited edition series, and so each print will have some variations and is unique and original.
The print is made using high quality oil-based relief inks on a 310 gsm printing paper. It is sent loose and unframed in a secure attractive packing, but please discuss option of a frame with me if you would like one. Each print is signed and numbered on the front by the artist.
For international buyers, any duty or import tax is the responsibility of the buyer.
