Artist's description:

In the upper reaches of the cascades rests an old building, formerly a manufactured home, now rebuilt as a solid insulated cabin for one of the skilled mountain guides plying his trade in that stretch of the Cascades. His liquor is smooth and my cigars won me a few hours sitting out on his flat board porch, watching the deer ruin his garden. He hates carrots and only plants them for the new whitetail families that wander in from time to time. He's a good one and we shared tales of mud and death in the Mekong Delta.
