Artist's description:

This oil painting is part of my series of artwork investigating the reflective and surface qualities of cutlery. I enjoy working with antique and rustic varieties and I particularly adored the patina on the cutlery in this piece. Applying techniques of the old masters, I enjoyed the challenge of creating their reflections in oils. This work has been produced on a raw linen triple clear primed 2cm deep canvas and therefore is ready to hang unframed.

In terms of my application of oil colour, I predominantly use a mixture of both Winsor & Newton Griffin Alkyd and Melanie Cambridge Oils. If a higher pigment is still required I use Michael Harding Oils. I apply between 3-7 layers of oil colour to my work dependent on complexity.

Photo in context is an estimation of size and scale and colouring varies from Computer to computer. But It is as vibrant as the picture depicts.

Much care and attention is taken in packaging my work for both national and international delivery. This item will be packaged firstly with an acid-free tissue paper to ensure a protective layer and is then sealed in clear plastic cellophane. All corners are protected with cardboard corner protectors. It is then finished with a triple wrapping of bubble wrap with two cardboard sheets and placed into another cardboard covering.
