The 10 scenes of The lamp. P.3
This project goes back a ways… There was a time back in the 1980’s when I thought more in terms of multi panels to express my ideas, comic strip style. This is one of those projects.
Divided into part one and part two each with a title page adding up to 12 frames.
A humorous look at the psyche, inspired by my bendy table lamp.
Part one, the first title + 5 pages, represents the lamp becoming aware of itself.
Close up picture is of higher resolution so as to get a better look at the texture and brushstroke. Third picture has me holding the folder open in which I keep the 12 pages... to put things into perspective...
The date is on the last panel only, Aug. 1987. The paint looks as fresh now as when the work was newly done, a testament to the quality of the paint & the paper.
My work at that time was done without the use of preliminary sketches, or pencil lines. This is paint applied directly onto a blank page.
Available individually, but best as a complete set.
Packaging for my small paintings like this one is sealed in plastic sleeve, sealed in a padded hard plastic file case, and envelope covering.
Please note that you can purchase in one order up to 6 paintings of same size or smaller to be included in the same 1 shipping fee.
