Artist's description:

This is an original oil painting on stretched canvas. The subject matter is a three-quarter length male portrait. The palette is exclusively earth tones, almost monochromatic in rusts and browns.

The subject is a young man, a laborer by the title. He is seated, his legs open, his hands loosely crossed on his lap at the wrists. He faces the viewer, his eyes peering off to his right. His eyes and hair are dark. He wears a wide-brimmed hat, a thicker work vest over a light-colored, loose shirt with sleeves rolled up to three-quarter length. He leans slightly forward, his head relaxed between a strong shoulder line.

The work is in pristine condition and signed by the artist.
