Artist's description:

The Detroit Public Library is one of the rarest jewels of the city. I remember going downtown with my older sister on the weekends to visit the library when she was studying at Wayne State University to become a teacher. It was a joy to visit it again - 50 years later - and marvel at the architecture and art that hinted at the richness of the knowledge contained within.

This photo is printed on metallic paper to give it a subtle glow.
