Artist's description:

My favourite country is Japan and every time I visit this beautiful land I find amazing contrasts. On my second trip to Japan I finally went to Kamakura in the Kanagawa Prefecture, with the goal of going to the Kōtoku-in Temple to see the Great Buddha (Amida Buddha). The statue probably dates from 1252 and it is made out of bronze. The statue is approximately 13.35 meters tall including the base and weighs approximately 93 tonnes. The statue is hollow, and visitors can view the interior. The statues, as well as the place itself takes yout breath away.
