Artist's description:

The Garlic stall is part of the famous twice-weekly market in the Place aux Herbes at Uzès. Visitors queue to fill their baskets with huge bunches of the fat pink bulbs. The scene is from the end of October, with the low light still breaking through the leafy plane trees.

This painting is part of my Painting Light series of the South of France.
