Question for the artist?

Artist's description:

“A woman is the full circle. Within her is the power to create, nurture and transform”. - Diane Mariechild

A symbolic and feminine piece featuring the Celtic triple spiral symbol, representing the three powers of Maiden, Mother and Crone. It is a sign of female power, especially power through transition and growth. Butterflies, lace and roses complete the symbolism, as do the colours used, which are strong and bright. The variegated metal leaf created the perfect backdrop to this piece, which was also used for the butterflies' wings.

'The Galway Girl' is a well known and much loved Irish song about a beautiful black-haired, blue-eyed girl and this title, together with the Celtic spiral, is representative of the love I hold for the Emerald Isles.
