Artist's description:

The elements of this digital collage, created from over 40 different images, have been sourced from a 'practical book for the man who wants to do wood carving" published in 1932 that belonged to my grandfather.

This piece is one of several from the "Commercium Craniorum" series, a contemporary study bearing reference to the 19th century anthropological hobby of collecting, studying and trading of skulls.

Materials used:

Using the very best in photo imaging equipment – the Epson 9900 with its 11 colour Ultrachrome ink technology and Hahnemuhle Photorag 308gsm paper (Smooth)– combining for simply stunning images.
