Artist's description:

I wanted to capture the scene with this piece. In paintings of nature, sometimes the leaves and even the trees are treated as one element or subject to be collectively captured. Similarly, the spectators, like foliage, are collectively represented. The model has an expression that could mean concern or indifference. Nothing in the attire is necessarily remarkable, instead the scene is about the collection of reactions and positions of the participants. This painting is concerned with the deep ritual of spectators and performers.
