Artist's description:
One of a series of drawings, studies and paintings inspired by the Canary Wharf development in the East End of London. Built in there early 1990s and subsequently, the gigantic steel and glass structures are the home of many financial institutions. Our animal nature, enclosure, capitalism, financial markets and our insatiable need for 'growth', brought about these charcoal renditions of human and animal forms.
