Gicleé - FineArtPrint on canvas - ready to hang
Directory / Werkverzeichnis Nr. 114
Edition - Unique
"The consequences of parenthood" has come a long way.
It's based on a photo, which at best could only be guessed. First I digitally coloured the areas of an abstract photo of architecture fragments. The result is also available here on Artfinder and to find under the title "Collisions Nr 450".
Then I started randomly cutting out fragments from this picture, rearranging them randomly anew. The same with the result, same with the result, same with the result, same with the result - every time leading to a bigger picture.
Finally transforming 3 parts of the fourth fragmentation into this piece.
The result is an abstraction of an abstraction, of an abstraction of an abstraction of an abstraction. A "child" of another artwork, but also a "parent" to - by now - two other works.
I love the idea of creating a new work out of an existing one, transforming one into another, so that there is a connection between my works. Like a big family, everybody is related with each other. One more, the other less.
It's the same in life in general: everything is related, everything that happens, is good for something else, everything has a reason.
Relatives of "The consequences of parenthood" are:
"Into the wild"
"The change within distance"
"Skip and run"
"The star spangled banner"
"Don't walk pass the dead wood"
I'm offering these works rather in the category photography, though it's mostly digital edited, because it's all based on a single photo. The creative process is more like digital painting. At least to me it feels like painting.
As it is with paintings, I'm selling "The consequences of parenthood" as a unique piece.
I want to to deliver the highest possible quality in terms of material. I want the buyer / customer to have as little hassle as possible. Therefore I'm offering it "Ready to hang" printed on canvas stretched on bars. Furthermore - to avoid any inconvenience in terms of customs - I'm planning on having it produced in the country you are from.
So - in any case, if you consider buying, contact me in advance, so that we could sort out things for the best of all parties. Maybe you would prefer any other material than canvas? Just the print? Don't hesitate to contact me.
As soon as you set up contact, I start researching for a well established FineArtPrintLab in your country, to let you know the exact costs and period of time it'll take.
