A monoprint of the recently restored bandstand on Brighton Prom.
Monoprints are made by rolling a thin flat layer of ink onto glass or plastic, carefully laying a piece of paper over the ink, and then drawing directly onto the back of the paper with a pencil or pen, or using fingers or sponges to create areas of tone. The result is a one-off image that is completely spontaneous.
I really enjoy this method of working, it's such a contrast to my usual thing.
