Original artwork description:
I found this piece of cherry wood. It already had a dual form as it had started to split along the grain. As I worked into the splits and along the grain, two figures emerged. They appear to be open to each other and move in the same direction, but they're opposite and separate. Like good conversation or debate, they're working towards a resolution. It struck me that this was in contrast to the kind of binary conversations that become infinite, confrontational and lacking direction that happen on social media platforms.
