Anatomy of a Dream (2026) Original Acrylic Painting by Behshad Arjomandi

SIZE: 100 x 100 cm – 39,37" x 39,37" inches.

* Original hand-painted painting.

This contemporary biomorphic abstraction moves between botanical, anatomical and marine associations without ever settling into a fixed image. Rich passages of coral, green, cream, orange and violet emerge against a deep black ground, producing a continuous tension between growth, compression and release. The brushwork is tactile and sensuous; forms appear to fold, swell, split and regenerate across the surface. Rather than depicting a specific subject, the work creates an unstable territory between attraction and unease, where the organic becomes at once intimate and unfamiliar. Its dense composition rewards prolonged viewing, as new relationships emerge between colour, gesture and ambiguous form. Its large format gives the work a strong physical presence, reinforcing its immersive and distinctly contemporary character.
