The Agony of Empathy looks at how empathy or doing right thing or what you feel is the right thing can be a burden. The two figures walk the landscape reliant on each other. One the dunce, one blind. The dunce has been forced to kill the blinds guide out of pity but this has lead to his subservience. A bleeding heart is the hunting ground of a greedy crow. the cross symbolising sacrifice. Is empathy a human characteristic to be proud of or a left over from evolution waiting to be discarded.
