Acrylic on canvas, painted from life. This is a fairly unusual painting for me as it's so pared back in detail and mark, almost naive, but nonetheless it's a piece I’m very fond of. I’ve spent many years life drawing, then life painting, which gave me ample opportunity to experiment with representation - from acutely observed and detailed work, to pieces that have wider concerns, more focused on a simplified composition and often a love of colour and pattern. I love the bold colours and simplified shapes of this composition. It also uses my very favourite neon pink paint, for the pants!
The painting comes ready for framing.
