Artist's description:

Here is a recent 16" x 20" still life in bold colors. My inspiration for this painting came from browsing the set designs of Leon Bakst! What colors! An old Persian ewer , or " aftabe" , a striped Persian shawl, and some big blooms made up most of the composition. The clock was included in order to remind me to stop painting at five o'clock so I could start dinner! It could also be read as a symbol of the link Time makes between the painter and the object. I have included a shot of this painting in an old gold painted frame BUT that does not mean that I'm offering this painting in a's just another way to see the work.
I pack paintings carefully in bubble wrap and ship via UPS.

Materials used:

acrylics on canvas
