Artist's description:

My daughter is a gypsy spirit, insatiable and restless. In Puerto Rico, we had a saying about feeding youthful curiosity, Ese Huevo Quiere Sal, that egg wants salt. Did Esmeralda want salt? I stare at my 6 year old and wonder if I could quell her appetite. I do to this day.

Materials used:

Watercolor and acrylic on paper
