I often look to Greek Mythology for inspiration, it's stories and ideas permeate Western culture. There are nine Muses, or mentors, of the arts and humanities. Thalia is the Muse of Comedy. I enjoy the playful pose of the figure with the cat as companion. I hand colored the linoleum print with oil pastels.
