Artist's description:

Oil on canvas, varnished edged with black tape. Hanging wire attached, perfect to hang now. One of a pair.

This is one of a series of work I developed after visiting temples in Bali and watching the 'old hands' thieve whole bags of monkey nuts from visitors seconds after they bought them at the gate. These sacred temple monkeys of Indonesia are not the lean wild animals I saw back home in Brunei. These big boys were so fat they had trouble leaning over their own stomachs to reach the peanuts!
