As with most of my paintings this one started with a background landscape. I was feeling very expressive that day and ended up creating a bit of a fish eye effect. I then sprayed thinners on the background and tipped the painting to allow for drips in both directions, creating foliage and atmosphere. The trees were added later to populate this gorgeous landscape. The foliage of the trees were created with bubble wrap and crumpled plastic shopping bags.
