This is a large painting from my tango series. I like to use black or turquoise background for this type of paintings, so for this one I've chosen clear blue and green base and orange figures on top. You can see four couples immediately but if you look hard enough you can find the traces of the last - fifth couple as well. I chose spiral composition technique for this painting and improvised with the figures in an abstract way, I always remind myself that this is not a documentary photography and I can organize my composition constructed of dancers as freely as I want, even if they turn around upside down. In the end what really matters is overall impression of the painting. Tango anyway makes your head spin, doesn't it. You are free to hang the painting turning it in any direction you find comfortable.
