Artwork description:

This print was shortlisted from 16,000 entries for the Royal Academy summer exhibition 2019.

This lovely carved stonework is a small part of the magnificent main entrance to the Natural History Museum in London. Visiting there recently, the stone was cast in sharp relief by the strong sunshine, and I loved the deep shadow accents against the warm colour of the stone. This would make a striking and unusual gift as a reminder of a visit to London.

This is a 5 colour lino reduction print; one block of lino was used for the print, progressively adding colour layers with more of the lino cut away each time, until there was very little left of the lino block. As each print is individually made by hand there are minor variations making each print unique. A limited edition of only 24. Printed with water based light fast ink on 280 gsm Somerset soft satin acid free paper. Signed and numbered on the front in pencil. It will fit a frame 18'' x 22'' with 2'' mount (as shown for illustration), readily available online, or from your local frame maker. It could easily be trimmed to fit a slightly smaller frame. Room setting images are not to scale.

Delivered with protective acid free tissue paper in a strong postal tube. UK delivery by Royal Mail 1st class signed for. International items are sent Royal Mail tracked & signed; outside of EU and America there may be local duty / tax, if so this is payable by the buyer. Multiple purchases will be shipped together where possible, and any excess shipping cost refunded after purchase.
