Artist's description:

This life sized Swift is clinging to the wall having a good scream, the only time they are still is when they are clinging to walls or on the nest. They are trawlers of aerial plankton, hoovering up flying insects and spiders on gossamer threads, and have a super wide gape as a result. Once fledged they will fly continuously for the next two years when they breed, so this pose is the only time you will see a Swift stationary, and is why I chose this pose. The patination is realistic, and this sculpture hangs from a screw in the wall via a keyhole slot giving a secure fastening.
