Artist's description:

The Australian swift parrot breeds only in Tasmania and migrates across the turbulent Bass Strait to the mainland for the winter before it returns again for the summer. This pretty and engaging parrot is endangered due to habitat destruction, because Tasmanian's don't put their imaginary legacy before their native species and this is precisely what's happening on Bruny Island in the south east of Tasmania, a beautiful native and also pastoral habitat where the swift parrot returns to each year to breed.
This is an acrylic painting on canvas with my signature etched into the orange paint. It is unframed yet solidly constructed as a stretched canvas .
