Original artwork description:
My latest (Sep 2020) art on leather painting on the Sweet Lips theme and style. This is larger than normal and measures 9x18" and edged framed rather than box framed.
Inspired by wanting to create, in a realism style, an abstract painting morphing the brightness of a sweet/candy wrapper and voluminous lips.
Hand painted on dark grey leather to make best use of the tactile nature of the lightly textured leather to give depth to the art - that can also be touched as the artwork does not need to be behind glass. The paint finish is the same that I do art on leather jackets etc and uses a specialised technique using industry- leading materials.

As for longevity of this unique style of artwork, I live in Hereford where the Cathedral has the medieval Mappa Mundi and one of the 3 original copies of the Magna Carta - both painted on velum.
