Anthocyanins in cherries are pigments (from the artistic point of view) responsible for their distinctive deep red colour. Cherries are delicious and versatile, healthy and decorative, thanks to their fresh and juicy red coloured skin appearance that has inspired many artists to paint them in a variety of styles. “Sweet cherries anthocyanins” is painted in watercolour technique, allowing colours to mingle while being wet, and creating "blossoms" by dropping strong colours into light ones. The size of the original painting is 16 x 22 cm. It is supplied with a white mount (matt) ready to frame. For long lasting mounting of the artwork, I'm using acid-free masking tape from ProArt. Overall size including mount is 24 x 30 cm.
