Question for the artist?

Artist's description:

This drawing is about futility and hope - and the struggle between the two.

The rocks are suspended in mid air by a fantastical and over engineered scaffold which has the purpose of holding things where they should not be held in order to preserve its perceived beauty, the scaffold has since taken on a life of its own and became a thing of beauty in its own right.
