Artist's description:

A blisteringly hot day where it was too hot even to move gave way to one of the most powerful sunsets I had ever seen. Parts of the landscape literally seem to catch fire whilst other parts still untouched produced a vibrant contrast in colour. The sky almost got darker as the last little sliver of the setting sun was engulfed by the horizon.
Painted in pastel on watercolour paper.
