This morning at Bournemouth pier in Dorset, the winds were really strong and the waves were up. This image was one of the most technically challenging for me to take. The wind was so bad that I had to shelter under the pier and use the sides as a wind breaker; the surf swirled around me and the tripod making the exposure difficult to work out with so much movement going on; my umbrella , which was acting as an additional wind breaker, got sucked out to sea but I nailed the shot... at least I think I did! seascapephotographer.co.uk
