Nothing is more beautiful. I could gaze at her for hours. The woman on the moon. Much better than the man on the moon. She is what made it super! It has been years since she appeared and then overnight, she will be gone again. I will miss her. I will be 145 years old the next time she comes again. That is still really young in moon time.
Words and Art by Rich Ray
Rich Ray Art Process Development - Limited Edition Canvas Print
This technique has taken several years to master. Many hours of trial and error, hundreds of mistakes, some happy and some not so much! My process involves three stages. First, I paint the abstract artwork. Second, I photograph the art and other textures from nature. Third, I choose the photograph and download all of the different layers to the photo editor program.
This technology enables me to play with all the elements together. I spend many hours moving and arranging each piece, like a puzzle. I know it is finished when I have achieved the right balance. Meaning, the brightest colors, visual textures, and contrast for the final printed original artwork. I have tried to do this by simply painting over the photograph. I was not able to achieve the bold look I was going for, it became to muddled. This is why I chose the digital technology. I feel this gives the customer the best possible image. The Giclee print is the original artwork with the process I have developed.
I believe this process to be unique to me and unique to the world. The prints you purchase are the only pieces available, exclusively to Art Finder. I do not sell my art anywhere else. A limited number of 150 prints for each image created.
