A colourful seascape painting showing a spectacular sunset over the sea. Facing west, the sunsets from the Fylde coast are always spectacular. The contrast in tone are huge, with deep shadows juxtaposed with bright, sparkling highlights. Th contrasts in colour are perhaps even more intense, with cool blues right night to hot, hot reds and oranges. By adding the figures to the composition I hope to introduce a sense of perspective and size, with the tiny figures emphasising the huge scale of the sea and sky.
