I'm really interested in using oil and wax. With it, I've been exploring texture, colour and form of natural phenomenon such as clouds and waves. The technique I'm using lends itself to a feeling of energy by using a palette knife for application of oil colour. I love the colours of sunsets and this was inspired in an abstracted form. So you can get lost in the colours. Its gestural and representational.
