I came upon this scene when location scouting at Lough Neagh nearby. While the sky was clear blue when I left my studio to look for suitable locations to photograph, a mass of heavy clouds suddenly appeared blowing in from the west over the Black Mountain on the western outskirts of Belfast, Northern Ireland, almost blocking out the sun.
The sense of destiny evoked by the sunlit road wending it's way into the distance seems, to me, enhanced by the sun, as it fights for it's right to be seen through the cloud filled sky.
