Artist's description:

This series of miniature scale paintings of middle/middle eastern European buildings invite the viewer to an intimate closeness with their richness of detail and fine gradients of light and shadow. They were inspired by the buildings that surround me in Budapest and in Vienna.

The architectural scenes are depicted with emphasis on the walls, a little detail of the sky, and no ground - suggesting a dream of what lies beyond the city.

"What I wanted to do was to paint sunlight on the side of a house."
Edward Hopper
